Rebecca studied music education on trumpet and piano at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. She played trumpet in the touring wind symphony and performed in the pit for productions of Mary Poppins, Legally Blonde, Hairspray, and many more. Now, Rebecca volunteers as a church pianist—composing, arranging, and accompanying spiritual numbers each week for both solo and group performances. She also works as a music consultant for the Temple Hill Symphony Orchestra in Oakland and teaches private students full-time throughout the Bay Area.

Rebecca believes students achieve their best when they are having fun. She teaches primarily through game-based learning and has developed over 10 original games—including current favorites like Stickman War and Animal Exhibit—to help students master both practicing and performing. She has even developed her own app to track and incentivize at-home practice without any guilt or nagging. Beyond in-depth piano and music theory skills, Rebecca helps students learn how to learn, persevere, and tackle hard things. She has extensive experience teaching a diverse range of learners, including students with ADHD and autism.
